Torie & Howard Cupid's Crispy Treats Recipe
With Torie & Howard Organic Hard Candy
What You'll Need:
- ½ cup butter (dairy-free if needed)
- 12 oz marshmallows
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal
- 2 tins Pomegranate & Nectarine Hard Candy, crushed
Unwrap Candies and Transfer to Bag
Unwrap two tins worth of Pomegranate & Nectarine Hard Candies. Transfer to a ziplock bag.
Crush the Candy
Crush the hard candies into small bits and pieces.
Melt Butter
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium-low heat
Add Marshmallows
Add marshmallows to the melted butter.
Melt Together
Stir together just until the marshmallows are melted. Do not overcook the marshmallows or your rice cirspy treats will be hard. Once the marshmallows are melted, immediately remove the pot from heat.
Add Vanilla Extract and Salt
Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
Add Crispy Rice Cereal
Add the crispy rice cereal to the pot.
Add Crushed Hard Candy
Add the crushed hard candies to the pot.
Combine
Gently fold together.
10 Line a Baking Dish and Press
Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some of the paper hanging
over the edges. Lightly spray with oil.
Transfer the mixture to the baking dish. Using a silicone spatula, firmly press it across
the dish in an even layer.
11 Set Aside
Set treats aside to cool for one hour.
12 Cut Into Hearts and Enjoy!
Slice into squares or hearts (using a heart-shaped cookie cutter). Enjoy!
