Strawberry Ladybugs Summer Fruit Recipe with Torie & Howard Organic Hard Candy

What You'll Need:

6 large strawberries
12 Meyer Lemon & Raspberry Organic Hard Candies
1 cup chocolate chips

Grab a Strawberry

Rinse 6 large strawberries. Grab one to begin.

Remove the Cap

Carefully cut the leafy cap off of your strawberry.

Slice

Slice your strawberry in half, then cut a triangle out of the widest part of the halves (see video below for example of where to slice).

Add Chocolate Chips to Bowl

Add your chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl.

Melt

Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until melted through.

Add Melted Chocolate

Transfer the chocolate to a piping bag or a squeeze bottle. Place strawberries on a sheet of parchment paper.

On each strawberry half, cover the sliced triangle area with melted chocolate

Add Hard Candy

Add More Melted Chocolate

Squeeze a vertical line of melted chocolate down the ladybug’s “back.” After, squeeze chocolate dots onto the “back” and squeeze “legs” on the side of the body.
